About Me
I completed my PhD in biostatistics1 at the University of Hohenheim in 2019 and have since been working as a biostatistician and data science consultant at 
BioMath, where I am now Managing Director. Since April 2026, I additionally hold a part-time research position (25 %) at the University of Hohenheim (Biostatistics Unit, Prof. Hans-Peter Piepho) within the DFG research group FOR 6101 “MultiStress”. Over the past years, I have led numerous projects in statistics and data science for public institutions and private companies, developing R and Python workflows and creating Quarto-based reporting pipelines2. Several of these projects have also resulted in publications3. In addition, I serve as Deputy Speaker of the Working Group on Agricultural Experimentation4 of the German Region of the International Biometric Society and regularly teach R and Python workshops for beginners and advanced users (see table below).
I like when complicated methods are explained well, when results are presented in a concise yet beautiful manner and when R does its magic.

Ich habe 2019 meine Promotion5 im Fachgebiet Biostatistik an der Universität Hohenheim abgeschlossen und bin seitdem als Biostatistiker und Data-Science-Berater bei BioMath tätig, wo ich inzwischen als Geschäftsführer arbeite. Seit April 2026 bin ich zusätzlich als wissenschaftlicher Mitarbeiter (25 %) an der Universität Hohenheim (FG Biostatistik, Prof. Hans-Peter Piepho) in der DFG-Forschungsgruppe FOR 6101 “MultiStress” tätig. In den vergangenen Jahren habe ich zahlreiche Projekte in Statistik und Data Science für öffentliche Institutionen und Unternehmen geleitet, R- und Python-Workflows entwickelt und Quarto-basierte Reporting-Pipelines aufgebaut6. Mehrere dieser Projekte haben auch zu Publikationen geführt7. Außerdem bin ich stellvertretender Sprecher der AG Landwirtschaftliches Versuchswesen8 der Deutschen Region der Internationalen Biometrischen Gesellschaft und gebe regelmäßig Workshops in R und Python für Einsteiger und Fortgeschrittene (siehe Tabelle unten).
Ich mag es, wenn komplizierte Methoden verständlich erklärt werden, wenn Ergebnisse prägnant und anschaulich präsentiert werden und wenn R seine Magie entfaltet.

Currently, I do not organize workshops that are open for general registration (with one exception). All my workshops are arranged through universities or other institutions that engage me to deliver tailored content based on their specific needs. Therefore, I encourage you to reach out to me and/or the appropriate contact at your institution to discuss potential arrangements.
